Physical Therapy
Each physical therapy session will consist of an hour of one-on-one time with Reena. After a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation, appropriate treatment will be provided with discussion of your goals and your consent.
*****Please contact our office so we can verify your specific insurance benefits for Physical Therapy. We participate with most insurances and networks. We bill insurances companies directly on your behalf and accept plan benefits paid to us. Co-payment, coinsurance, and deductibles may apply.
Initial Consultation:

What to expect during your initial consultation:
Reena will review your medical history, injuries and discuss your areas of concern. You will be evaluated on posture, gait, movement patterns of the upper and lower kinetic chain and spine, range of motion, strength, core control, flexibility, joint mobility, motor sequencing, muscle recruitment, neural assessment, endurance, and swelling if applicable. Your assessment findings will be explained to you and your treatment options will be presented and performed.
Physical Therapy Treatment may consist of all or some of the following:

Manual Therapy inclusive of joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations such as myofascial release, trigger point release, retrograde massage for swelling control, Graston technique, manual traction for cervical and lumbar spine, manual cervical traction, manual stretching, muscle energy techniques

Therapeutic Exercise with an individualized program created based on your goals and findings from your examination

Neuromuscular re-education inclusive of postural training, balance and propioception training, retraining to improve coordination and motor sequencing, utilization of kinesiotape if appropriate and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation for improving muscle firing patterns

Gait training promoting efficient and normalized gait mechanics for prevention and restoration of walking after injury

Therapeutic Pilates-based rehabilitation consisting of an individualized program designed to improve dysfunctional movement patterns, increase strength, endurance, range of motion and flexibility allowing for promotion of homeostasis in the body and prevention of reoccurence of injury

Functional training allowing for correct incorporation of your gains made in therapy into your movement, Sports-specific training with sports drills utilizing efficient motor patterns

Orthotics and/or footwear recommendations (if needed)

Ergonomic education consisting of correct computer setup and body mechanics for lifting and work activities

Healing modalities including cervical traction, heat, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation for pain control, swelling control, or enhancement of muscle recruitment in conjunction with the above treatments
